Authentic Hamptons Style
We often find many clients have a vision for their home but have difficulty translating it onto architectural and internal drawings.
With extensive experience and dedication to the authentic Hamptons style, we were able to assist the owners with selections and alterations. It is vital when building a custom home of this magnitude to be open to potential design revisions to achieve the right outcome for the clients.
The Challenge
The waterfront site had an existing 80s-style home that was demolished. The project also required a lengthy Council approval process to allow a three-storey home to build on this site. During this approval time frame, some design alterations were required, and every square meter of the site was considered to ensure we utilised all of it to create this stunning project.
The Result
Entering the home, you discover French oak floors and beautifully crafted mouldings throughout. The opulent open plan Kitchen, Dining and Lounge Room with a high panelled coffered ceiling attracts plenty of natural light across an exquisite array of finishes, from the custom cabinetry to the detailed wainscoting wall panelling.
The Dining room opens through commercial-grade large stacker doors to reveal a spacious outdoor entertaining area overlooking the fully tiled pool and spa. The clever use of frameless glass pool fencing offers uninterrupted views of the river and beyond.
The Outdoor Entertaining area is complete with a tongue and groove lined ceilings and extensive hand-laid stonework on the walls. A well-appointed outdoor kitchen makes this stunning area ideal for relaxed entertaining.
Each level of the home has been designed to maximise the view of the river and Gold Coast skyline. Large balconies, perfect for taking in this stunning view, were a priority for our clients. The third level houses an enviable Multi-Purpose Room complete with fireplace, bar, powder room, and gym! The quintessential Hamptons racked ceiling continues to yet another large balcony offering a magnificent view.
Externally, the extensive use of architectural mouldings and cladding achieved an authentic Hamptons style.
The stone wall cladding was individually cut and laid by hand.
Furlong Street was a fantastic project. The challenges of the Covid outbreak did not hinder our commitment to deliver a very high standard of workmanship and dedication to our client’s vision for their home.
This home won the best residential kitchen in the 2022 Gold Coast master builders awards.
